I decided to close this account. I can't carry on pretending that I'm coming back to it, because I know I won't.

I'm sorry, specially to those who entered the contest.

Also, please don't send me notes to my main account concerning stock. Thanks.

Thanks for the support. Although I'm no longer a member of the dA stock community I belonged to it long enough to still feel for them. And the kind of unjust treatment we sometimes get can be disheartening. So thanks for understanding and standing up for it. :)

What is irresponsible and unprofessional is the presumption that the volunteer artists who give of their talents out of nothing more than the goodness of their hearts are by that decision your permanent public servants, required to produce at your whim and for free.

You want to own someone's artwork permanently? It's easy. Pay them to work for you.

I'm going to take the time to answer you although I don't really see why you wrote this comment.

I don't think I am wasting anyone's time here by simply closing the account. On the contrary, I was wasting a lot of my time on this account, and most of the time I only got badly treated in return.

I asked people not to contact me on my main account regarding stock because I couldn't see the point of closing something only to have it continue on my art account. I fail to see how that is unprofessional, specially considering that I have never done this professionally on dA. People have sold a lot of prints using my stock and never once did I ask for any money in return.

For that reason I also disagree with your last sentence. Since most of the stockers on dA do this sacrificing their own free time and give away the stock for free (as opposed to real world stock) I don't see why they should sign anything, much less something that would release our work should we decide that we don't have the time in our lives to dedicate ourselves to stock anymore.

That being said, I don't understand the reason of such a hostile reaction on your part.
